 A poem



What does a poem mean to you?

A paragraph of words quite few.

Well for me, it’s my place of solace,

The pen, the paper, grudges and pace.

I express myself in my poems,

Do you hear them? My scary burns.

I pen down my feelings, emotions & gratitude,

How hard is it to wake up with a positive attitude.

A poem to me is like my mate

Who tells me,

“You write this because it’s your fate.”

Dream It was midnight and I screamed my throat out, Mother rushed in, “honey, why do you shout?” I felt numb to my stench and scared to my bones, Was it the monster under my bed or clanking of stones? I looked at her face, face so distressed, She might wonder her child is a mess. “What happened dear? You look terrified.” “I had a bad dream Ma, I almost died. In my dream, I was walking home alone, Somebody grabbed my hand & wouldn’t let me go. To my consternation, I couldn’t see his face, I retaliated but miserably failed. Moments of intrusion Of all the negatives Of all the falseness Of all the viscid deep music That hovers my head Like angels and demons. . Poem on 'A day in my room'

  A day in my room Also, check out my Youtube channel, do subscribe :)  -  Harshita Solanki Right now I am sitting in my room, My eyes reaching out to my balcony, the flower blooms .   I just took out the mattress mom bought for me, Looks like antique but is somehow dust free.   The room is so quite, I can only hear the fan, There’s this picture in front of me, of a beautiful man.   I don’t know who he is, I guess I watched a show, My brother said he would tear it out and I screamed NO.   I also own a book shelf with many untouched books, I evidently judged them by their covers or looks.   I took out one of them & it smelled old, Ugly cover and pages were dull and cold.   Here’s a diary which includes all the shayaris that my father wrote, Beautiful handwriting and precious notes.   This small room has so much life in it, All the memories and furniture perfectly fit.   The photographs consisting love an...
